⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ STAR Case Studies:
Product Catalog — “The Brand Bible”

Situation

For nearly four years, the company had repeatedly attempted to produce a comprehensive product catalog that would serve as the main sales and communication tool for distributors, dealers and retail partners. The initiative repeatedly stalled due to fragmented product information, inconsistent content ownership and the absence of a structured workflow between departments.

When I joined the team, the catalog still did not exist despite several previous attempts.

Task

Develop the company’s first comprehensive product catalog within a limited timeframe while establishing a sustainable process for collecting, structuring and maintaining product information across departments.

Action

  • Audited existing marketing and technical product information.
  • Identified bottlenecks that had prevented the project from moving forward.
  • Rebuilt the cross-functional workflow for collecting and validating product data.
  • Structured the information architecture, product hierarchy, and editorial system.
  • Designed a scalable catalog layout that balanced technical specifications with marketing communication.
  • Coordinated collaboration between product managers, marketing specialists, and production teams.
  • Managed the complete design, prepress preparation, and print production process.

Result

  • Delivered the company’s first comprehensive product catalog in just 2.5 months, after four years of unsuccessful attempts.
  • Established a repeatable cross-functional workflow for future catalog updates.
  • Created a central communication tool used by the sales team, distributors, and retail partners throughout the year.
  • Standardized product presentation across categories, improving consistency of marketing and sales materials.

Problem-Solving Approach

→ Diagnosed long-standing process bottlenecks.

→ Rebuilt the cross-functional workflow.

→ Unified stakeholders across multiple departments.

→ Systematized fragmented product information.

→ Delivered the company’s first comprehensive product catalog in 2.5 months after four years of unsuccessful attempts.

Integrated Campaign That Cleared
Inventory and Boosted Dishwasher Sales

Situation

The company held a large stock of dishwasher tablets approaching their expiration date. At the same time, there was an opportunity to increase sales of the dishwasher category by creating additional customer value instead of discounting products.

Task

Designed an integrated promotional campaign that would simultaneously clear the remaining tablet inventory and increase dishwasher sales across national retail partners.

Action

  • Identified an opportunity to combine two business objectives into one customer offer.
  • Designed a compelling promotional mechanic: a six-month supply of dishwasher tablets included with every dishwasher purchase.
  • Designed the campaign landing page with a purchase registration and claim submission workflow.
  • Created branded packaging for the promotional tablet bundle.
  • Created campaign assets for digital, POS and partner marketing materials to ensure consistent execution.

Project Impact

  • Successfully cleared the remaining inventory of dishwasher tablets within three months.
  • Increased sales of the dishwasher category through a value-added promotional offer.
  • Extended the campaign consistently across retail partners, digital channels and in-store communication.
  • Demonstrated how integrated brand communication can solve inventory and sales challenges simultaneously.
Creating Retail Brandzones Guidelines for Nationwide Implementation

Situation

As the Pyramida retail network expanded, branded zones were being built by different contractors across multiple cities in Ukraine. Without a unified implementation system, maintaining consistent quality, materials and visual presentation became increasingly difficult.

Task

Create a scalable documentation system that would enable any contractor to reproduce branded retail environments consistently, regardless of location or production partner.

Action

  • Developed a comprehensive Retail Brand Guidelines document for branded zones.
  • Designed 3D visualizations illustrating the complete customer experience and spatial composition.
  • Created detailed technical drawings and installation layouts.
  • Specified materials, finishes, dimensions and production requirements for every branded element.
  • Standardized construction principles, branding applications and visual hierarchy.
  • Structured documentation into an easy-to-follow implementation guide suitable for different production vendors.

Result

  • Established a unified implementation standard for branded retail environments across Ukraine.
  • Simplified communication between the marketing team, suppliers and production contractors.
  • Reduced inconsistencies during manufacturing and installation.
  • Enabled faster rollout of new branded spaces while maintaining a consistent customer experience.
  • Created a reusable retail design system supporting future expansion of the brand.
Metaphorical Visual Communication.
Concept-driven POS Campaigns Situation

Situation

Many product advantages were technical specifications that were difficult for customers to understand at first glance inside retail environments.

Task

Translate complex product features into simple visual messages that could immediately attract attention and communicate benefits without lengthy explanations.

Action

Developed a series of visual metaphors where each product feature was represented by an unexpected everyday association.

Examples included:

  • Scratch-resistant, easy-clean oven enamel → represented through the image of a pistachio shell, emphasizing durability combined with easy opening.
  • Increased oven capacity within standard external dimensions → illustrated through a watermelon cross-section, where identical outer size reveals dramatically different usable volume.

Result

Created memorable retail communication that simplified technical product advantages and strengthened customer understanding at the point of sale while maintaining a cohesive visual language across the brand.

Building a Scalable Packaging System Across 200+ Product SKUs

As the product portfolio continued to expand, Pyramida required a consistent packaging system capable of supporting more than 200 core product models across multiple appliance categories and accessories. Every product required not only packaging design, but also a complete set of supporting communication materials while maintaining brand consistency.

Develop and maintain a scalable packaging system that could be efficiently adapted across the growing product portfolio while ensuring consistent customer experience and production quality.

  • Standardized packaging layouts, information hierarchy and graphic elements across product categories.
  • Designed product labels, specification stickers and technical identification elements.

Anniversary Catalog — Celebrating 20 Years of Brand Evolution

Situation

To celebrate Pyramida’s 20th anniversary, the company invited me back as an external designer after my in-house role had ended. The objective extended beyond redesigning the annual catalog—it was an opportunity to reflect the transformation the brand had undergone over the previous 3.5 years while introducing its next stage of development.

Task

Create an anniversary edition that would both showcase the maturity of the refreshed brand system and communicate the company’s future direction through new product categories and an expanded visual identity.

Action
